About Merchant Camps and Lodge
Our Story
At Merchant Camps, we're passionate about the outdoors and we want to share that passion with you. We have over 30 years of experience bear hunting Maine and guiding others in the North Maine Woods. Founded by Ralph Merchant Jr. in 1998 Merchant Camps and Lodge is a family owned and operated business located at 99 Hacker Farm Road, Garfield Plantation, Maine. We are six miles from the North Maine Woods and the Six Mile Gate.

Our Services

We offer guided bear hunts and cabin rentals for upland bird, moose, and deer season. We also offer lodging for those who are interested in exploring the great Maine outdoors. We are perfectly situated to enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and many other activities.
2024 Moose Hunt for Sale!
Merchant Camps has secured a lodge permit for an ANTLERED Moose in Zone 5 for the Sept 23-28, 2024 Moose season.
This hunt will include up to: Maine Guide(s), 7 night stay, 6 days of hunting, all meals, lodging, tax, and use of our facility. Guides will assist in recovery of the harvest.
Does not include transportation in and out of the North Maine Woods, hunting license(s), butchering or any gate fee's
