At Merchant Camps and Lodge, we've been providing high-quality bear hunting for over 30 years. Our company started as a small family business, and we've grown into a trusted name in the outdoor industry. We also provide accommodations for moose, deer and upland game hunters.

Our vision at Merchant Camps and Lodge is to inspire people to connect with nature and explore the great outdoors. Northern Maine provides some of the state best native trout fishing in both ponds and streams. Plan your next fishing trip with as stay at our lodge.
Spring fishing season we will have multiple Registered Maine Fishing Guides on staff available for hire upon request and availability.

At Merchant Camps and Lodge, we also offer three season cabin rentals. We have have four cabins and a bathhouse all nestled in close proximity to our main lodge. Come stay with us to hunt, for outdoor recreation, ATV Riding or to relax. Camps include power, fridge and use of the bathhouse.

Our Story
At Merchant Camps, we're passionate about the outdoors and we want to share that passion with you. We have over 30 years of experience bear hunting Maine and guiding others in the North Maine Woods. Founded by Ralph Merchant Jr. in 1998 Merchant Camps and Lodge is a family owned and operated business located at 99 Hacker Farm Road, Garfield Plantation, Maine. We are six miles from the North Maine Woods and the Six Mile Gate.
